Light Touring kayaks bridge the gap between short recreational boats and longer fully featured touring kayaks. They are short and light enough that throwing them onto the roof for a quick paddle is easily accomplished. Some of the boats in this category also allow you to take them on an overnight trip or paddle on open water should the opportunity arrive.
